Syte advised the health insurance segment with regard to its digital health offer and, specifically, its launch of tele-consultation as a new and innovative primary care support function for locally insured, travelers and expatriates across different European countries, yet aimed at a global rollout. In this context, Syte engaged in in-depth across-territory and multidisciplinary market research to then systematically develop product and positioning strategies for different regions and customer groups. The product and promotion concepts were derived against the background of the legal, political, economic and social as well as competitive environments in the very different countries. Relying on long-standing expertise at the intersection of technology and healthcare, Syte outlined the most efficient nation specific strategies in terms of both higher-quality health outcomes as well as cost savings and higher client engagement and retention.

A remote care structure for medical devices with according inclusion of medical and insurance partners has been outlined, verified and proposed for national reimbursement. The digital services followed the increasing trend of building comprehensive digital ecosystems in which a Win Win Win situation for patient, medical provider and insurance is established. A popular example is the new reimbursement for telemedical control and functional analysis of an implanted system for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) which led to a home monitoring network across Germany based on a concrete reimbursement structure for each conducted digital service.

In the context of a global management consulting project, Syte advised one of the largest US insurances with regard to the implementation of a chronic disease management system based on digital solutions. The goal was to achieve both higher-quality healthcare for the increasing number of chronically ill and to reduce the substantial costs associated with chronic diseases by fostering digital transformation with regard to monitoring the chronic condition and managing the required care of patients. Syte engaged in large-scale firm- and market-level multidisciplinary research and data collection across countries related to chronic disease management through digital health solutions. As a result the most relevant P&L effects also on the base of large medical data volumes were identified and according insurance services defined.
